On 16 and 17 July, the executive committee of the PPM‑Confirel Group met for its strategic review of the second quarter of 2026, examining in turn commercial performance, production activities and the Group’s main strategic directions. The work was structured in two segments: a technical session followed by a strategic session.

A key highlight of this edition was the launch of a new presentation platform: each department head must now answer questions generated by an artificial intelligence system about the content of their report before presenting any slides. This approach allows the Group to strengthen the reliability of its internal analysis ahead of decision‑making.

Dr Hay Ly Eang, CEO of PPM and Confirel, presented this development as the beginning of a new phase in which artificial intelligence is fully embedded in management, data analysis and strategic decision‑making. He described it as a genuine “knowledge library”, capable of capitalising on the company’s accumulated experience, identifying weaknesses and improving overall efficiency.

The second quarter of 2026 confirmed the Group’s growth momentum on both domestic and international markets, with exports remaining the main driver for PPM as well as for Confirel. “PPM and Confirel products are now distributed across five continents – Asia, Africa, Europe, America and Oceania – which reflects the growing competitiveness of Cambodian products,” Dr Hay underlined.

He nevertheless called for caution regarding the risks of excessive reliance on export markets in an uncertain global economic environment. Strengthening the domestic market and developing sales of imported products distributed by PPM Trad have been identified as key priorities for the coming period. In line with this diversification strategy, the committee endorsed the expansion of the distribution network, stronger digital marketing, the opening of new sales channels and more intensive promotional activities.

Beyond commercial results, Dr Hay reiterated that Confirel’s development is not measured only in profit terms, but also through the positive impact generated for farmers and rural communities. The company continues to promote a circular‑economy model that adds value to Cambodian agricultural products, ensuring that every purchase contributes directly to improving producers’ livelihoods.

In closing, Dr Hay confirmed that PPM and Confirel are pursuing a strategy based on innovation, new technologies and international expansion. Despite intensifying competition, both companies remain convinced that by boosting productivity, developing staff skills and fully leveraging artificial intelligence, they can maintain sustainable growth and continue contributing to Cambodia’s economic development.
